4 Quick Tweaks You Can Make On Your Website Today To Double Your Number Of Wedding Inquiries

Learn my top 4 list of quick tweaks you can make on your website today to double your number of wedding inquiries.

Let’s break down how to avoid the dreaded lack of inquiries and quick, solid bookings.

1) Add an opt-in or sign up box to capture their email and invite them to a brief consultation call.

You're probably thinking, Jenn, why? They can just get all the info they need on my site. The chances of her reading through all of your site are slim to none.

By providing a spot for her to opt-in, you can follow up with her with helpful and useful tips and information to keep you top of mind so that when she's ready to make a decision, you'll be the first person she thinks of. What do they most want to know about you? For example, she may want your rates right?

Create a PDF download in Canva with your rates to start and then follow up with useful tips and tricks to make her life easier and extra special.

SHOULD I SHOW MY PRICING ON MY WEDDING WEBSITE?

If you want to know if you should show your pricing on your site, a best practice is to show your packages and rates start at $x or prices range from X to X. Sometimes it can put people off from inquiring if they don’t have at least a sense of your price range.

If you don’t want to leave your actual prices off your site, say if you’re a florist, for example, share the 4 hottest wedding vibes to create the wedding of your dreams - check out these magical settings or the 4 most popular flower types and vibes or something like that.

Just so we ensure people actually WANT to open their eyes. Depending on how you’ve built your website, for example on WordPress or Squarespace, there may be built-in forms you can add or you can use an email service like MailChimp or Active Campaign, which is only about $0-10 a month to start.

Remember, she craves connection and the fastest most effective way to do this is through rapport/talking. It’s also a perfect opportunity for you to help and provide advice, tailored specifically to her needs and wants, which is important to her. If you create a better connection with her than then the next wedding professional, she’s going to choose to work with you.

2) A picture paints a thousand words.

It sounds cliche but.. your dream couple wants to see you and learn about you! So don’t hide behind the camera as a creative. Put up a warm, inviting smiling picture of yourself along with some fun facts about you. Be transparent, authentic, be “real” you!

Also, think before and after pictures or stories - I know you want to showcase your beautiful after photos or testimonials only but brides crave and love the transformation because it shows them what is possible for them by working with you.

Have you ever had trouble sleeping and turn on the tv only to find yourself wrapped up watching one of the shopping channels?

You’re drawn in by the RESULTS, but only after seeing how things were BEFORE. Our brains are wired to compare.

If you don’t show anything to compare your results to, your bride will have trouble seeing the amazing work you do.
You don’t have to exaggerate the before but the bigger the transformation the better. For example, if you have a client with cystic acne who’s embarrassed to even have her picture taken, think about how powerful it will be to show how beautiful she looks and feels after.

If you’re a florist, take a picture of the room or venue before or after the flowers are in place.

If you have a business that doesn’t have before & afters per se, find a way to make a comparison.

For example, If you’re a baker, show some poorly designed and constructed cake that looks a bit cheesy to the average person, and then showcase your masterpiece next to it.

If you’re a photographer or videographer, do the same with a “no-name” cheesy video or photograph that perhaps looks like an amateur took. It’s also important that these images are relatable and show “everyday women”. They can spot a stock photo or professional model a mile away.

If you’re a consultant or life coach who wants more clients, share stories about your own successes or your clients’ success. Be specific.

Especially when the majority of the time you’re trying to attract female decision-makers, keep in mind that they tend to make the purchasing decisions.

Women have tremendous spending power in America today, and in fact, make upwards of 85% of all consumer buying decisions – and this power is growing.

I also probably don’t have to tell you that the majority of women buy on emotion and an emotional connection. They’re also influential on the buying decisions of their friends, colleagues and family members.

Highlight the hell out of what makes you different as a service based business. Don’t just talk about what you offer.

3) Write about and tell people how quickly you book up, so they know how in-demand you are and create an honest sense of urgency.

You don’t have to feel sleazy though...you can do this with integrity. For example, you can write something like “we tend to book up very quickly, X number of months in advance so make sure to reserve your spot today!”

The reality is you can only book one event or person at a time, and no... you can’t hold their date while they decide if you’re the right vendor or not, unless they put down a deposit. That’s like asking a homeowner to hold the house without a deposit so you can consider other options. Potential buyers know that if they’re really interested in the house, they’re not going to miss the chance to get it.

If they’re truly interested, they’re going to make a decision and risk losing their deposit. If they don’t, you’re better off knowing. Sometimes it seems like the hardest thing, but your time is a valuable asset and the only thing you can control in the sales process, so you need to make sure you’re spending it with true buyers/clients.

You’re not running a charity. Save that time for real charity’s that you believe in.

4) Pin your images and posts to Pinterest to boost your wedding business ranking

Get your pin it or save it button for your website images!

Your angel bride or client is likely all over Pinterest looking for inspiration for her big day, so you need to be there too. Create your save it button here. It sounds more complicated than it is, but cut and paste the code into your page where you want it to be and include pinit.js once per page, right before the closing </BODY> tag.

Or if you’re using something like Shopify you can just add the app by searching for Pinterest. Then, head over to Canva and create a Pinterest pin that’s attention-grabbing with the title of your post. Now start saving or pinning your images/blog posts under a keyword-rich folder.

Boom! You’re done!
